Mathventure Mystery: Numbers Don't Lie, a three-day event for high school students that aims to foster two of the Ateneo Mathematics Society's core competencies:
Math Appreciation and Math Education.
It consists of lectures, workshops, and other activities meant to engage the students to widen their perspectives of mathematics and to allow them to explore its different fields and applications.

MEET YOUR CHIEF SPEAKERS
Dr. Mark L. Loyola
Dr. Loyola obtained his PhD in Mathematics at Ateneo de Manila University. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department of the Ateneo de Manila University. He was also awarded with the Asian Crystallographic Association Rising Star Award in Hanoi, Vietnam last December 6, 2016. Furthermore, he is currently an associate member of the National Research Council of the Philippines since February 2018.
Mr. Len Patrick Dominic Garces
Len Patrick Garces a Ph.D. student at the University of South Australia (UniSA). His research in financial mathematics focuses on the use of stochastic volatility and jump-diffusion models in option pricing and the development of numerical methods to approximate option prices. He is also currently a Research Assistant for UniSA STEM and a Tutor for UniSA Online. Prior to commencing his Ph.D., he was a faculty member of the Department of Mathematics and the
Department of Economics, Ateneo de Manila University. He has also participated in a number of research teams working on government-funded interdisciplinary research projects and on various consultancy projects in financial risk modeling for major local financial institutions in the Philippines.
Mr. Albert Yumol
Bash is a machine learning engineer and a data solutions practitioner based in the Philippines promoting data-driven and evidence-based solutions to various industries and companies. He has 8+ years of experience with Data Science both in academic research and industry applications. He is also an advocate for using technology to promote social development and nationalism and also teaches data science and its applications focusing on human-centered design and data ethics.
Mr. Gerard Ortega is a fourth year undergraduate from Ateneo de Manila University taking up BS Mathematics. He is a scientific committee for the National Olympiad in Informatics - Philippines and was also a world finalist for International Collegiate Programming Contest or ICPC.
